When used in the right setting, biomass heat and power can be an excellent sustainable energy source. The key to success is to match the technology to the setting, so that fuel deliveries, particle and noise emissions and space can be properly accomodated. Like waste to energy systems, solid biomass projects have challenges with material handling, storage and fire safety. We have experience of dealing with those challenges at scales from individual boilers to very large port facilities.
