Waste to Energy

Energy from waste is an increasingly important part of the UK energy mix. Clean combustion of solid fuel derived from commercial and industrial waste can generate heat and power, whilst diverting non-recyclable materials from landfill. Anaerobic digestion of food waste, farm slurry and sewage are all commercially viable and produce a clean gas and agricultural fertiliser. At JPEC, we work with project developers, contractors and operators throughout the waste to energy sector. We carry out technology assesments, economic modelling, design and procurement of projects ranging from 2 to 30MW electrical output. Our analysts are highly skilled in the optimisation of project cashflows and revenues, and can assist with setting tariffs and commercial negotiations. We also provide operation and maintenance advice.

We have specialist experience in gasification, fluidized bed combustion and anaerobic digestion.
